Contract Term Clarification Request Writer

I am writing regarding Section 4.2 of the draft agreement, which states that the client may terminate the contract with 7 days’ written notice for any reason. My concern is that this term does not provide sufficient time to wind down active work streams or recover costs for work already completed but not yet invoiced. I would like to propose revising the notice period to 30 days for convenience terminations, with a provision that all completed work up to the termination date is compensable at the agreed rate. Alternatively, could you help me understand the reasoning behind the 7-day window?
