At your current stage, a House of Brands approach would fragment a limited marketing budget across multiple brand-building efforts with little efficiency. A Monolithic approach risks confusing audiences with very different needs and maturity levels. The Endorsed model allows each product line to develop a distinct identity while benefiting from parent brand credibility — the right balance for a Series A company with two distinct audience segments. Brand Hierarchy: Apex (parent brand) encompasses Apex Core (SMB accounting tool, primary product), Apex Insights (analytics layer for power users), and Apex Connect (integrations marketplace, developer-facing). Each sub-brand uses the Apex name as a trust anchor while allowing differentiated messaging per audience. Naming Convention: All new products use the format Parent Name plus a single functional descriptor word. Descriptors should describe what the product does, not abstract brand concepts. Phase 1 — Audit and Align (Weeks 1–4): Complete asset audit across all channels, run stakeholder alignment workshop, produce signed-off brand hierarchy document as the milestone.
